Martian Commandos

2267, August 25th: After the announcement by Governor Bolton Ryce, for almost a whole day, Martian media platforms aired back-to-back advertisements for the Martian Defense Force. Open positions for the MDF are hard to come by - Thousands apply, only a few pass the tests. MDF training consists of a rigorous physical screening test, followed by Martian Special Warfare Training School, and finally Martian Commando Qualification Training. Enlistees who successfully pass all 4 stages of MDF training earn the title "Martian Commando". However due to the heightened danger in the galaxy, Bolton Ryce has ordered that the MDF enlarge its force by a factor of 10. A large pool of volunteers has thus been selected to undergo MDF training.
