Casualties Mounting

2267, May 3rd: After failing to setup a perimeter around Swagga, SE forces went on the defensive, holding key towns just outside of Swagga. Using armor and infantry, the SE were able to stop advancing AR armor, aircraft, and troop transports. However, later in the AR offensive, the SE armor was destroyed by flanking AT fire teams. The last of the assault by the AR was a desperate push to capture the towns, which was tantamount to a suicide rush. The AR sustained heavy casualties but managed to capture Rogno, while the SE held on to the two other towns. After a grueling day of fighting and heavy losses, AR high command finally ordered a retreat.
